Buckley Industrial supplies Flexible Hose and Coupling Package to Offshore Platforms in Vietnam

Buckley Industrial has just supplied a comprehensive flexible hose and coupling package for use on two new offshore platforms that have been built for the oil fields in the prolific Cuu Long Basin, offshore Vietnam.  This has enabled our customer to announce first oil production from its Hai Su Trang and Hai Su Den (HST/HSD) development, ahead of schedule and under budget.

The package consisted of a range of different types of hose, including hoses for chemicals, potable water, compressed air, diesel and methanol.  Due to the environment in which these hose and couplings are used, additional safety measures were adopted to ensure hose assemblies are utilized correctly.

All hose assemblies and couplings were manufacture in the UK before being subjected to stringent nondestructive testing to ensure all items in the package are fit for purpose and safe for personnel to operate.
